Tara Powell is the owner of NC Coastal Team which is a top selling real estate team on the coast of NC. The NC Coastal Team is affiliated with RE/MAX Ocean Properties. These powerhouses sold over $140 million in sales in 2022 and continue to gain traction through innovative marketing and by focusing on the client experience. Our clients and community come first.

Tara has her Business of Administration (MBA) degree, along with many industry-related certifications and designations. She has been recognized by the industry for her top sales performance which she credits to her many years as a project/marketing manager working for a Future 50 company. Tara is uniquely positioned to assist her clients sell their home for the highest net proceeds in the shortest amount of time.

Tara has assembled a standout group of real estate professionals who are truly committed to their community. Danielle Abraham is the creator and director of Backpack Friends, which is credited with feeding over 800 kids each week in four local counties. Danielle won the Ben Ball Award in 2022 for her outstanding efforts in community service. The team donates a portion of each transaction to this important charity. Other members of the team, Nancy Harris and Melissa Banks, are also committed to supporting a local women’s shelter and dog rescue charities.
Tara lives with her family in Carteret County located on the coast of NC. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on a sandbar with her friends and family. She is a huge animal lover and can also be found spending time with her two Vizslas.
